Die Magie von Klammen im Osten Deutschlands
The Blue Wonder The Blue Wonder is a landmark of the city. Since 1893, the Loschwitz Bridge has connected the Dresden residential districts of Loschwitz and Blasewitz. It was built on the basis of a design by the civil engineer Claus Köpcke together with the Saxon ironworks Königin-Marien-Hütte as a so-called "stiffened suspension bridge". The steel framework construction was one of the first bridges in Europe without piers and was a technical masterpiece at the time. This is also why it is nicknamed the "Blue Wonder", with blue referring to its color. According to a rumor, the bridge was originally green and turned blue due to miraculous weather influences. This turned out to be false information due to historical references to the bridge's first coat of paint. The Loschwitz Bridge was painted in a shade of blue right at the time of its inauguration in 1893. While the bridge is now a landmark of the city.

The Dresden Frauenkirche, a magnificent baroque building, dominates the cityscape of Dresden with its imposing stone dome - the largest north of the Alps. This architectural jewel also stands as a profound symbol of historical events. Destroyed in the Second World War, it remained in ruins for decades until it was finally faithfully rebuilt from its own remains. Of the millions of stones used, approximately 3800 original stones were reused. Today, the Frauenkirche is more than ever a symbol of peace and reconciliation. As a symbol of the city, it shines again in all its grandeur and reminds us of the indefatigable possibility of restoration and hope.

The view from the "Loschwitz Bridge", also known as the "Blue Wonder", on both sides is particularly beautiful. The "Blue Wonder" is to be given its blue color again, as it was in historical times. Illuminated by the sun, however, the bridge still lives up to its name and shines in a magical blue.
