Stuttgart, with its green hills and parks, lakes and the Neckar, is one of the most beautiful cities to hike through.

Stuttgart is not just a city squeezed into a bowl but is surrounded by hills, vineyards and forests. There are many beautiful views down the city. Since the paths are mostly paved, your feet may get tired more quickly. Start at Marienplatz and follow the small blue Strümpfle signs. This makes the hike exciting, because the signs are very tiny. At the beginning you walk past the Lapidarium many stairs and are thus quickly at the top. Have fun….

A peaceful valley with no traffic noise, easy to reach even by train, if you are lucky you can stop off at Besen Trefz.

Pure nature in the Buchenbach Valley. Simply nice to go by the river for a long time.

From Karlshöhe you have a very nice view over Stuttgart, and you can enjoy a small snack and refreshment in the beer garden. 👍🏻

This section is well developed and a dream for racing cyclists! But be careful, there is a lot going on here at the weekend when the weather is good. Although there is sometimes a separate pedestrian path, you may have to go slalom here. Therefore, I recommend that you tackle this route during the week or on the weekend, especially early in the morning or late in the evening.

A wonderful valley for hiking and lingering

From my point of view, Karlshöhe gives you the most beautiful view of Stuttgart-Mitte and Stuttgart-Süd. A great place to relax. A beer garden is located here in summer.
