The town hall was inaugurated in 1897. It is considered "unfinished" because it could not be built as planned with two wings, with an entrance and tower in the center. The owner of the house to the right of the town hall did not want to sell his house at the time.

Egeln lies in a floodplain of the Bode River; its castle was first mentioned in the 9th century. The Protestant town church of St. Christopher is a single-nave Baroque building with a Gothic tower. The atmosphere of this church is characterized by the colorful design of its 19th-century renovation.

The St. Christopher's Church in Egeln in the Salzland district in Saxony-Anhalt is located in the town center on the market square. The church tower's double spire is striking. In 1267, when Duke Albrecht of Brunswick conquered the town in a feud against Otto von Hadmersleben, the existing church was destroyed. A few years later, a new town church was built. Wolmirsleben is a municipality in the Börde, in the middle of Saxony-Anhalt, directly southwest of Magdeburg. It belongs to the collective municipality of Egelner Mulde in the Salzlandkreis.
