The pilgrimage church of the Scourged Savior on the Wies is considered one of the most famous and at the same time most beautiful Rococo churches in all of Germany. Built between 1745 and 1754 by Dominikus Zimmermann, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983. Every year, the Wieskirche attracts around a million visitors from all over the world. It is known for its elaborate stucco decorations and ceiling paintings, among other things. In the summer, concerts are also regularly held in the Wieskirche.

Always a dream to go here to enjoy nature

For me worthwhile in winter via the winter trail. The hut itself is not really comfortable because it is often very busy. Toboggan run down north side. I prefer the ascent from Kappel or, as I said, the winter trail.

Peat mosses are the most important part of every raised bog. They grow up to 15 cm per year, while at the same time they die in the resulting peat.
