I made the climb at 5am with 15cm of fresh snow, the hiking trail is very well signposted but also challenging, I think it doesn't matter whether there is snow or not, it goes over steps and a small stream. From the bridge in front of the waterfall you have a great view of it. On one side of the bridge you can get to the waterfall basin.

It's unclear to me where the name comes from, but as far as I know it's actually the Philosopher's Rise. But very beautiful.

With a leisurely pace along waterfalls towards Hohe Asten, once there you get a beautiful view of the area and you can enjoy the tastiest dishes and drinks so that you can continue your walk after a well-deserved rest.

The Rottau Waterfall, which is well worth seeing, can be easily combined with a visit to the Klaushäusl Museum. The museum is open from May to October every day except Mondays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers easy parking. From there it is a 1 km walk to the waterfall.
