Historic and beautiful! "A day at the Mili, the charming outdoor pool on wooden stilts, is wonderfully nostalgic. The oldest bathing establishment on Lake Constance was built in 1825 and was originally used to train recruits. Today, things are much more relaxed: parents and children cool off in the lake or bask on the sun terrace, which is shielded from the shore. SUP is also available here, as well as a diving board, a table tennis table and a slackline over Lake Constance."

Beautiful lake promenade and very well attended when the weather is good

The Bregenz lake promenade with Lake Constance in the foreground and Pfänder in the background. A very beautiful spot in the middle of a great setting. The mile along the lake is also lively and has very good opportunities to stop for a break or just to linger by the lake and on the lake.

The Pfände towers high above Bregenz. Reachable by the Pfändebahn or on foot, it offers a brilliant view of the wide Lake Constance. At the top station of the cable car there is a wildlife park and several inns.

In the 19th century there were several bathing establishments built on stilts on the lake. But only the Mili, the former military swimming school, has survived the test of time.
