We didn't find a more beautiful promenade or anything similar during our 400 km cycling holiday on Lake Constance. My tip: Bregenz should definitely be included in your plans. The ferry connection between Romanshorn and Friedrichshafen is ideal here, a round trip of around 95 km including a 12 km crossing.
