From here you have a wonderful view of the Lahn, the beautiful houses on the Lahn and Marburg Castle. There was a bitter fight over the "Green Weir" several years ago because the weir was to be renovated with a lot of concrete and provided with boat steps and the like. Some of the trees and bushes on the bank should also have given way. It's good that it didn't turn out that way and that the many signatures were of some use!!! The “small repair” was completely sufficient. The old "Hirsefeld - Steg" was also repaired a few years ago. In my opinion this worked well.

The city is pressed close to the river here, but that makes it look great!

The Seepark has had the largest aqua park in Germany since 2017. Up to 132 people can do sports and have fun on floating trampolines, slides and climbing walls at the same time. The aqua park can be used every hour from midday.

Nice view of a beautiful castle

There is a beautiful beer garden right on the Lahn with a pedal boat rental. Ideal to treat yourself to a cool blond beer during a break on the tour.

Made a stop on the Lahn terrace on the German Unity cycle path with a view of the castle. Great place with the flair of a university town.
