The tower is cordoned off and inaccessible. The last renovation was in 1984. I assume that after more than 40 years, it's time for a thorough inspection of the tower and its 125 steps leading to the viewing platform.

The climb to the vantage point is worth it. Unfortunately, it's too crowded there on Sundays when the weather is nice - I enjoyed the view and then quickly went on because there was too much hustle and bustle.

The amber is 693.5 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the northern Black Forest in the area of the city of Gaggenau, district Rotenfels, and the city of Bad Herrenalb, district Bernbach. It is part of the ridge that delimits the front Murgtal on its east side.

A real gem and so lovingly laid out with the metal railing and the summit cross. If you are lucky you can use the free bench at the summit for a snack and enjoy the view.

The Hohlohturm, also known as the Kaiser Wilhelm Turm, towers over the Hohlohmoor. A beautiful boardwalk with many benches and views of the Hohlohsee leads through the moor. The Hohlohmoor is a retreat for the endangered capercaillie.
