The amber is 693 meters high in the northern Black Forest just around the corner from Bad Herrenalb. The summit of this mountain, which borders the Murg valley on its east side, is formed by a six meter high rock with a large panoramic plateau. From there you have a wonderful view of the northern Black Forest around you.

The amber is 693.5 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the northern Black Forest in the area of the city of Gaggenau, district Rotenfels, and the city of Bad Herrenalb, district Bernbach. It is part of the ridge that delimits the front Murgtal on its east side.
