The Seethalerhütte on the Dachstein is located at 2,740 m, making it the highest mountain hut in Upper Austria. Surrounded by the eternal ice of the Dachstein glacier, the hut is located in a breathtaking setting and offers a wonderful view of the mountains all the way to the Großglockner. Delicious food, friendly service, great panoramic windows in the dining room and a beautiful sun terrace with a mountain panorama. What more could you want?? Oh, and you can also stay overnight 😉. A really nice bike path. Just don't drive on the west side, it's very dangerous. Whether you have to go to Hallstatt is up to you. One look is enough for us.

Great destination, great view of the mountain landscape. Good paths, well signposted. Beautiful, 'lonely' path, some climbing is allowed (it would be very demanding with children's backpacks).

After the old hut was demolished because of slipping and the new hut was built, you can have a wonderful meal here again. Great and friendly waitstaff. Delicious food at humane prices.
