very beautiful bridge away from cars and traffic

Unfortunately, the Komoot recording stopped after the bridge. This was the end of the Isar Cycle Path. From there, we used Google Maps to search for a place to stop for a break. This may have been the reason for the interruption. From the bridge, we cycled back along the Danube Cycle Path to the ferry in Niederalteich, where our car was parked (parking lot at the recycling center), thus completing the loop. This was a total of about 40 km. We highly recommend this tour.

Always worth a detour for bikers or hikers

The Großer Büchelstein in the municipality of Grattersdorf rises majestically above the Sonnenwald region. The distance from the summit to the border of the Regen district is around 30 meters and around 500 meters to the Straubing-Bogen district, according to Wikipedia. A beautiful summit cross and a fantastic view.

The Rauher Kulm natural forest reserve was established around the summit in 1995 with an area of 76.8 hectares. It lies at an altitude of 830 to 1050 meters on rock and block soils and serves to preserve mixed mountain forests, beech forests and scree forests.
