The Mariaposching-Stephansposching ferry link is at river kilometer 2297.26 of the Danube. It connects the district road SR 35 ending in Mariaposching in the district of Straubing-Bogen with DEG 13 in Stephansposching. The ferry is operated by the Lankreis Straubing-Bogen.
The ferry connection at this point has existed since 1870. In April 2016 the ferry sank when crossing, which meant that the ferry operation had to be stopped. The new Danube ferry "Posching" came in February 2019 and started operating again in April 2019.
In winter (and in the case of virus epidemics such as Corona), it only runs on workdays during the "commuter times" from 6.30 a.m. to 8.15 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 5.45 p.m. mariaposching.de/machen-wohnen/kommunale-einrichtung/donaufaehre
