At least the tower is clearly visible from the cycle path.

To say the road itself isn't very pleasant to cycle on is a very, very, very mild way of putting it. For me, it was the worst section of the entire R1 EuroVelo route I'd cycled so far! But the castle and its grounds were truly impressive.

The stamp box is somewhat hidden opposite the entrance stairs - briefly asked at the hotel, friendly led to it, they promised to cut the box a little free

Bernburg (Saale) is the district town of the Salzlandkreis in the middle of Saxony-Anhalt. Bernburg is located on the Saale about 40 kilometers south of Magdeburg and 35 kilometers north of Halle (Saale).
