The quaint building is the old service cabin of August Ganghofer, the father of the writer Ludwig Ganghofer. It represents the family's forestry background and the forest that strongly influenced Ludwig's childhood. August Ganghofer was not only the district forester in Welden, but later pursued a career as a forestry expert.

The Anhauser Bach is a right tributary of the Schmutter in the district of Augsburg, Bavaria. It rises near the Justinakapelle south of Reinhartshofen and flows into the Schmutter in Diedorf. On its way it flows through the picturesque Anhauser Valley, which is known for its idyllic landscapes. There are several fish ponds along the stream that are used for fish farming. The Burlafinger ponds in the Augsburg - Western Forests Nature Park are traditionally used for fish farming. Carp and tench are mainly bred in these ponds. These fish species benefit from the nutrient-rich waters and the optimal conditions that the ponds offer. Fish farming in this region has a long tradition and contributes to the preservation of the cultural landscape. The fish farmed are usually marketed regionally and used in local restaurants.
