Beautiful view from the Philosophenweg over the Neckar to the castle and old town of Heidelberg. From here the snake path goes steeply down to the Neckar.

Beautiful square and central starting point for a city tour. Underground parking garage available under the square. Good view of the castle - the valley station of the cable car to the castle is just a few steps around the corner. The historic bridge and the pedestrian zone are also easily accessible on foot.

Elevated view of Heidelberg and the castle. There is a nice playground for children.

Great trail on the north side of Heidelberg...the sun shines here for many hours. From here you have a great view of the castle, the Neckar and towards the old town. If you want to walk this path quickly, you have to go up the snake path..many steps.
