알텐슈타이크 성은 구시가지 위 높은 곳에 자리 잡고 있으며, 그 인상적인 주거 타워는 슈바르츠발트에서 오늘날까지 파괴되지 않은 유일한 성으로 여겨집니다. 오늘날의 기본 형태를 갖춘 '오래된 성'은 약 1230년부터 방어 시설로 건설되었습니다. 이를 증명하는 것이 측면 타워 '힘멜'과 '회엘레', 그리고 후기 로마네스크 양식의 방패벽입니다. 이곳에는 튀빙겐 팔츠백의 관리들과 호헨베르크 가문의 방계 후손들이 거주했습니다. 14세기 말 성과 영지가 바덴 변경백에게 매각된 후, 이 건물군은 기사 홀의 창문 아치에 이름을 새긴 바덴 관리들의 거주지가 되었습니다. 1604년 알텐슈타이크는 바덴과의 영지 교환을 통해 뷔르템베르크로 편입되었습니다. 그리고 새로운 영지는 약 1610년에 '새로운 성'을 의뢰했습니다.

파우츠부르크는 여러 차례 피난처 역할을 했던 작은 바위 돌출부 성입니다. 12세기에 지어졌으며 원래는 바위 위에 작은 탑 성으로 이루어져 있었습니다. 바위에서 파낸 강력한 해자로 산과 분리되어 있습니다. 해자 건설 시 나온 돌은 오늘날 유일하게 현존하는 건물인 탑을 세우는 데 사용되었습니다. 파우츠부르크는 오늘날 깊은 숲 속에 숨겨져 있으며, 폐허로서도 그 구조와 피난처로서의 기능적 분위기 모두에 걸맞습니다.

The Siege by the Margrave The Margrave thought for a moment and then consulted with Count Palatine Rupert. They joined forces and marched to Liebenzell Castle. Thus began the siege from the tower. The giant roared from the tower and laughed at the soldiers. He threatened to beat all the besiegers if they didn't leave quickly. So, one night, the Margraves decided to wall up the tower door to trap the giant inside. 😉😊

In the 12th century, the castle of the same name was built on a spur above present-day Bad Liebenzell. The castle consisted of several buildings and a thick curtain wall with an integrated keep. The dry moat now serves as a parking lot. The keep and curtain wall have been preserved and can be visited during opening hours. Today, the castle serves as a conference center and restaurant. From the keep, there is a far-reaching view over the surrounding valleys, which were monitored from the castle.

Unfortunately, the castle ruins were closed.

Beautiful and very large medieval castle ruins – clearly visible from afar as a landmark above the town of Nagold. Accessible via various hiking trails through the forest surrounding the Schlossberg. Great views of the Heckengäu, the Black Forest, and, in good weather, even the Swabian Alb. Served on weekends in the summer. Regular events are also held.
