In the early 14th century, Haus Wiek was mentioned as a moated castle. In 1612, the manor house was rebuilt as a two-storey building, but was destroyed again in the Seven Years' War. The current single-storey manor house is a remnant of the destroyed manor house. The northern part of the 10m wide moat (in Münsterland the moats are called Gräften) that once surrounded the complex still exists, and a remnant of the southern part is a narrow watercourse. In ancient times, a bridge led over the moat. Since 1854, the complex has belonged to the Counts of Korff-Schmiesing zu Tatenhausen. At the beginning of the path to the forest at the end of the paved road, there is a nice new playground in the residential area.
