To visit, you have to ring the bell at the gate. Admission for adults is €6. The monastery was built in 1664 by Camaldolese monks and has one of the most beautiful baroque churches in the country. The church was completed by 1676; the decorations inside the church lasted until 1712. The builders were the Italians Giovanni Battista Frediani and, from 1674, the brothers Pietro and Carlo Puttini. Since 1992, it has been looked after by the Order of the Sisters of Saint Casimir.

With more than 315,000 inhabitants (as of 2021), Kaunas is the second largest city in Lithuania and the center of the Kaunas Region. It has the status of a municipality, which means it has an elected mayor and city council. It is surrounded by the district municipality of Kaunas, of which it is the administrative center (Wikipedia). Very cozy town with beautiful boulevard, many cafes and restaurants.
