A wonderful museum. A rare opportunity (at least, I don't know of any other) to see a live sunfish. However, the one that disappeared in February is just being replaced.

Great campsite with a view of the sea. 200m through the dunes and you are on a very clean and wide sandy beach. In the evenings even the locals drive their cars directly onto the beach to watch the sunset. There is also a view of the port of Hirtshals, from where ferries leave for Norway, among other places.

The North Sea Oceanarium in Hirtshals is one of Denmark's biggest attractions. This popular attraction opened in 1984. It was then called the North Sea Museum until 1998, when it was expanded to include an oceanarium containing 4.5 million liters of water. It's a breathtaking experience to stand in front of the huge aquarium and watch Klumpe the sea hare, the oceanarium's mascot.
