The oldest part of the church was built in the 12th century and is in Romanesque style. During the Gothic period, vaults were added.

The former railway track is now an amazing cycle and hiking path with asphalt between Allingåbro and Ryomgård. You pass forests, fields, lakes and small villages. In Allingåbro you can take a rail bike ride to Randers on the preserved railway tracks.
