Sminge Lake is a natural and shallow lake that is a key part of the Gudenå River, Denmark's longest river. The river flows directly through the lake, making it a unique stop in the surrounding nature area. With Sminge Forest in the background, the lake is a true haven for birdwatchers, where you might even spot an osprey or a white-tailed eagle fishing. It's an ideal spot to pause and appreciate the undisturbed beauty of this vital Danish wetland.

With the best bakery far and wide

North-west of the Funder village, this church has no tower but it's a beautiful building nevertheless. Both the south portal and the north portal are built in Romanesque architecture and the pulpit is in the late Renaissance style.

Pøt Mølle Restaurant is located in the middle of the woods. The building was once a grain mill, then a water mill, and finally a restaurant.

The church in Kragelund, like many in the area, dates back to Romanesque times and is accordingly old. It is built primarily of granite ashlars. The church tower was added later. In front of the church is a pleasant, shady spot that invites you to take a break from hiking.

The church, which gave its name to the "church village" of Funder, is apparently a rather old Romanesque building with rustic granite masonry. Interestingly, the church doesn't have a proper steeple—a wooden bell tower stands a short distance from the church itself.
