It's well worth the effort to climb to the top of the pass.

Nice steady climb from the Beddgelert side, kicks up in a couple of sections but nothing too stressful. Well worth a visit

Betws-y-Coed is a village and community in the Conwy valley in Conwy County Borough, Wales, located in the historic county of Caernarfonshire, right on the boundary with Denbighshire, in the Gwydir Forest. It is now a very popular visitor destination in the Snowdonia National Park. Popular with cyclists a fantastic area if you enjoy a good climb.

This cafe has won many awards. Unfortunately the have now closed this site from 8th January 2024. Gutted.

Sychnant Pass (Welsh: Bwlch Sychnant, "Dry-stream Pass") in Conwy County Borough, Wales, links Conwy to Penmaenmawr via Dwygyfylchi. Much of the pass is in Snowdonia National Park, and a large area of land within it has been designated a site of Special Scientific Interest. At the bottom is the village of Capelulo, which lends its name to the community of Penmaenmawr. Tough climb from any direction. Well worth for the stunning scenery.

Nantle Valley is well known for its mountains and ridge. A lot of historic settlements and slate mining. Stunning views of Snowdonia. Road surface is good watch out for sheep moving freely and a couple of cattle grids in this area

Take care in winter months but seeing the area is wonderful watch out for cattle grids

Llyn Dinas is a lake near Beddgelert, Gwynedd in north Wales. It is formed by the River Glaslyn. Llyn Dinas lies on the valley floor a few miles north of Beddgelert at an altitude of about 55 metres above sea level. It has an area of 60 acres and is fairly shallow, with the maximum depth only 10 metres.

There is a small car park if you don’t want to stop at side of the road where there is a steep drop looking down on waterfall. Views are great towards Tremadoc bay as well.

Bala is a town and community in Gwynedd, Wales. Formerly an urban district, Bala lies in the historic county of Merionethshire at the north end of Bala Lake. it has a wonderful village style feeling, and everyone speaks Welsh, which is truly amazing to hear. They have some good shops and supermarkets. They have tiny little petrol stations on the curb, and they attendant comes out and serves you. Great roads in this area and some can be very steep in these parts, plenty of cyclists and motorcycles well worth a ride.
