For those who enjoy searching for paths, sometimes crawling through undergrowth, and expecting surprises, this trail is highly recommended. We occasionally strayed from the path, and some wide sections looked as if they hadn't been used for years. So, we continued along with plenty of humor and a touch of sarcasm.

An enchanted path leads along the railway tracks to a spring called "Nonnenpiss" (Nun's Piss). This spring was used by the former Brunnenburg nunnery.

Obernhof is located between Koblenz and Limburg a. d. Lahn and can be reached by RE in just under 40 minutes. I have rarely experienced such a great hiking trail that offered me a mix of the Teufelsmauer, the Rheinsteig and the feeling of alpine climbing on this short stretch - a clear hiking recommendation 👍🏼🔝🤩. For people with slight knee problems, I definitely recommend hiking poles because of the sometimes steep gradients. For people with a fear of heights, the four "free-standing" ladders could be a bit of a problem. If you prefer going down ladders, hike my tour in the opposite direction. There are occasional signs for reliefs on the trail, which I recommend if you have underestimated the route a bit. What is there to see: - Schreiberlay vineyard - Goetheberg climbing trail - Goethepunkt - Gelbachtal - Adelbahn climbing trail - View of Arnstein Monastery Unfortunately, I didn't see any wine bars open in the off-season 🙁.
