The rock nature trail in Bad Ems offers insights into various types of rock. Designated a geological natural monument, the trail showcases numerous exhibits. It is ideal for those interested in geology and is easily accessible.

The highlight of the Emser Therme is Germany's first floating river sauna, which is located directly on the Lahn river and is part of the spacious sauna park (85°C) with panoramic views.

Like many other places in Germany, the city fathers of Bad Ems felt the need to erect a memorial to the "Iron Chancellor" Otto von Bismarck around the turn of the century. They built an observation tower on the hills above the Lahn River and named it in his honor.

Definitely not a "bridge over troubled water," to quote Simon and Garfunkel, but a flower-decorated crossing of the Lahn with a view of the fountain in the middle of the river and, in part, even the sophisticated facades from the spa town's heyday.

A beautiful, exciting adventure far from everyday life. Sturdy shoes and good treads are required!

I crossed the gorge from above and used the entrance as the exit.

Very beautiful gorge, surefootedness is essential. Shady climb, but definitely worth it.
