I find it safe to lock my bike in the market square. They are visible from the cafe windows and the entrance to the fish and chip shop. It gives a bit of peace of mind.

Great climb if you're ascending. The descent then into Aspley Heath forest is the reward!

Great portion of quiet road with some good views (depending on the weather and season).

Great coffee, great cakes. Has some bits and bobs that could fix a mechanical issue. Makes a perfect stop whenever cycling by.

A friendly and unique place dedicated to the cycling community. I had a puncture 4km from Bikebus, owner comes to pick me up while I was walking in the rain, then fixed my bike, and offered fantastic coffee ( I have forgotten my repair kit on that day ) I am really thankful and highly recommend to visit the Bikebus... You can buy a second-hand road bike, gloves, socks, jerseys, hats, snacks, etc...Contactless payment is available.

A lovey stop off to admire the views over Olney and the surrounding area.

Olney is a beautiful market town on the River Great Ouse. Its picturesque streets are a great place for a mooch, with independent shops, charming cafes and traditional pubs. Just to the south of the town is excellent walking in Emberton Country Park and its pretty lakes. The town is well known for the Olney Pancake Race, which first took place in 1445. Every year, on Shrove Tuesday, the women of Olney run and flip their pancakes over a fixed distance, all while dressed as 'traditional housewives'.

Famous for the hymn Amazing Grace, which was written at the Church of St Peter & St Paul at the south of the town. Handy for supermarkets, cafes and there's even a public lavatory on the square!

This is the church where curate John Newton wrote the hymn Amazing Grace. His grave is in the churchyard.

Watch out for cars shooting up the hill, they come up quicker than expected. Often gravel in the centre of the road after heavy rain.
