The Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park is a true gem of industrial heritage—a disused steelworks that now serves as a massive leisure and adventure park. Spanning approximately 180 hectares, rusty blast furnaces, green gardens, climbing walls, plunge pools, and light installations converge, making the park one of the most exciting places in the Ruhr region.

The sinter site in Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park was formerly part of the ore processing plant. Today, it is an open-air event space with a wind turbine tower and a water spiral—a symbol of sustainable technology in an industrial setting.

Unfortunately, the point is a construction site. The totems have been dismantled, and the interior is cordoned off with a construction fence. I hope the renovation doesn't take too long.

The area is ideal for cycling, especially along the Läppkesmühlenbach stream. The well-developed paths lead through picturesque countryside and offer a wonderful nature experience. Without the Hexbach stream, I wouldn't be able to continue south from the center without having to cycle along busy roads.
