A great opportunity to cool down

A beautiful bathing lake near the river and directly on the Euro cycle path. You can usually find a spot on the extensive sunbathing lawns, even in midsummer. There are several rest stops around the lake.

Today, at 28°C, such a well-kept bathing lake is a welcome refreshment 🏊🏊 ♀️

Beautiful small bathing pond located behind the Rheindamm - next to it is the Rheinblick - a restaurant with a beautiful outdoor area and in summer also with a beach bar.

The historic Romanesque church tower from the early 13th century stands near the Protestant church. In the past, the tower was also an important landmark for Rhine boatmen. Right next to it, in a front garden, you can see some column fragments from the former Roman settlement of Alta Ripa.

Listed building from 1660 - once the Löwen inn, later a grocery store, storks have been breeding on the large nest on the roof since 2013.

Didn't know for a long time that this is a water tower - always thought it was the bell tower of a nearby church. The water tower is no longer used as such.

Nice place to stop by. Especially because of the beautiful view of the Altrhein from the terrace. However, it is always quite full. At least that's how it was when we came by. Simply a great route that you can drive more often and is always beautiful.
