It doesn't exist in that form anymore... Trees are lying across it (judging by their appearance, they've been there for years) and the trail is overgrown with young trees. Unrideable! The descent is better via the hiking trail...

Beautiful place on the Wesenitz

The Grundmühle is a former watermill in the Radeberg district of Liegau-Augustusbad. One of its former names was Lochmühle (as recently as 1830). It is located on the right bank of the Große Röder River, at the edge of Saxony's oldest landscape garden, the Seifersdorfer Tal Nature Reserve. A little gimmick: If you stop for a moment on the southern bank of the Röder River, you can admire a beautiful sculpture called "The Thinker" – a homage to Rodin's Thinker.

To the left of the river is the path now called "Am Bruch," which until 1912 also served as a service road for a sandstone quarry located roughly in the middle of the river. This sandstone quarry had to significantly reduce its production in 1907 because part of it had become a large pond after a blasting operation caused water to seep in.
