The road traces the entirety of the north shore of Kylemore Lough. It is a stunning route to cycle. For 2km you are rewarded with the deep waters of the lake and mountain views.

Taking in the route of an old railway line which closed in 1935 it is hoped that eventually the full 76km from Galway City to Clifden will be open. Traffic free and perfect for families. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. Bike hire is available at Ballynahinch Castle Estate.
