An unbelievably scenic pass in County Mayo, with beautiful views of Sheffry Hills, including Ben Gorm and Ben Creggan as well as far-reaching (on a clear day!) views of the Glenummera Valley.

This short section connects the outflow from Lough Fee to Lough Muck downstream, enroute to the nearby Atlantic.

This road winding along the foot of the Sheeffry Hills provides excellent views across Tawnyard Lough towards Devilsmother and the great plateau of Maumtrasna. It's worth taking a short detour from the road to the popular viewpoint. The pass is part of the Western Way long-distance trail.

Aasleagh Falls is a pretty waterfall not far from Leenaun. It's set in a typically beautiful and mountainous Connemara landscape, where the Erriff River empties into the Killary Fjord. The intriguingly named Devilsmother rises to the east, while Ben Gorm rises to the west. This part of the Western Way can be prone to flooding. If the trail is impassable, the N59 can be used instead.

A beautiful sheltered beach that is often quieter than surrounding beaches. Perfect for a cool off dip.

County Mayo sits on the north side of Killary Fjord, you can see across to County Galway from the waterside road. It is considered to be the only fjord in Ireland and is sometimes known as Killary Harbour. It is 16km in length.
