글렌벡 로프 주변 인기 장소
This distinctive stone arch bridge spans the narrow junction between the headlands of Eskadawer Point and Doorus Point, right where the river flows into the salty Kilmakilloge Harbour. From the narrow stone ledge, you have a panoramic view of the Kenmare River, with the rugged peaks of the Iveragh Peninsula on the horizon. The road winds low along the water here, offering a peaceful, authentic alternative to the busy Ring of Kerry, complete with views of local mussel farms and bobbing fishing boats.

You'll be treated to one of the Beara Peninsula's most iconic views: the expansive view of Ballydonegan Bay. At the heart of the bay lies the unique white sands of Ballydonegan Beach, whose striking color comes from pulverized quartzite from the nearby Allihies copper mines. As you gaze out over the Atlantic Ocean, the picturesque, colorful houses of the village, nestled among the rugged peaks of the Miskish Mountains, are visible in the distance.

Historically, Allihies owed its wealth to copper. At the height of its operation by the powerful Puxley family, the mines employed as many as 1,500 people, including 400 miners, primarily Welsh immigrants. Angered by this interference, local residents refused to provide them with supplies, forcing them to import provisions from Wales. The mines closed in the 1880s, and the few attempts to reopen them failed. As you cycle along the slopes of these orange hills, look out for buildings with tall chimneys and the entrances to abandoned tunnels.

Adrigole is a scattered settlement in the shadow of the Caha Mountains' highest peak, Hungry Hill, at 2,247-foot (685m). It makes for a good base camp for adventures in the range and is also a common stopover on the Beara Way long-distance trail. There's a convenience store and accommodation at the Hungry Hill Lodge and Campsite.
