The Berggasthaus Herzogstand is located at an altitude of 1,575 meters and offers a great opportunity to stop off during a hike. Lots of steps up to the fork in the path (Jochberg or Jocheralm). Be careful, there is a risk of slipping! In some places a stream flows over the steps. Be careful here, especially in winter, but also in summer, as ice can form or the wooden beams of the steps are slippery.
