Since 2000, the barn has housed the Klostergalerie (Monastery Gallery), which is run by the town of Zehdenick. Its impressive architecture, with barrel vaults and historical ambiance, makes the Klosterscheune a popular venue for weddings, seminars, and conferences.

The Cistercian convent of Zehdenick was founded around 1250 by Margraves John I and Otto III of Brandenburg and their sister Mechthild. According to legend, the impetus was a Eucharistic miracle from 1249: An innkeeper had buried a consecrated host to boost her beer sales. When she repented and the host was recovered, bloody soil was found – an event interpreted as divine. This "blood miracle" made Zehdenick a place of pilgrimage and motivated the founding of the convent southeast of the town on the Havel River.

The memorial consists of a stone base with a cast-iron sarcophagus, surmounted by a delicate, column-supported cast-iron canopy. Reminiscent of medieval reliquaries, this symbolizes both the queen's strength and delicacy. Lotus flowers are placed at the corners of the sarcophagus, and a gilded crown sits at the top. The inscriptions on the memorial honor her life and capture the emotional response of the people.

Today, the Ruppiner Tor is used for art exhibitions. The key is available at the neighboring local history museum during opening hours.

St. Mary's Church is the Protestant town church in Gransee and was a St. James's Church before a change of patronage. Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz died on July 19, 1810, at Hohenzieritz Palace at the age of 34. Her final burial was to take place in Charlottenburg. The transfer of the beloved Queen Louise was accompanied by popular expressions of sympathy. On the night of July 25-26, 1810, Louise's coffin was laid out on what was then the market square, today's Schinkelplatz, in the town of Gransee, with great public sympathy. Soon after, the citizens of Gransee applied to King Frederick William III for permission to erect a memorial to commemorate this memorable event. The king agreed, but public funds were not approved. Under the leadership of the district administrator of the Ruppin District, Friedrich Christian Ludwig Emil von Zieten, a successful fundraising campaign began, raising 2,000 thalers. Ziethen had contacts with the Royal Prussian Iron Foundry in Berlin, which presumably introduced him to Schinkel.
