Beautiful, large rest and bivouac area. Quietly located, right on the water, with some walkers and, on weekends, even party-loving young people. Plenty of benches (2 with tables, 1 covered). 24-hour restrooms (upstairs, right next to the tourist information office, €0.50), a fire pit, a market square with shops and snack bars, approximately 50 m², free lockable lockers (just larger than a daypack, padlock required), and canoe racks (12). Overnight stays cost €5 per tent. The caretaker arrives around 7 p.m. in the evening and in the morning and, upon payment, opens the restroom/shower (one shower cubicle each for men and women [€0.50 / 3 min.], two drinking water taps, three wash basins, two electrical outlets, separate restrooms).

Various hiking trails lead over the bridge, including a circular hike from Fürstenberg, which includes the town church, the Baalensee bridge and the Röblinsee settlement.

Probably built between 1150 and 1200 as a border fortress by the Ascanians! First documented in 1333! The current east wing of the complex, known as the "Old House," probably dates from 1539. The south wing, the "Great New House," was built between 1572 and 1595.

The bandstand was built immediately after the First World War and shines with dignified beauty.

After the great city fire of 1807, approximately 90 buildings in the western part of the old town, including the rectory, were destroyed. The rectory was rebuilt in 1810. The facade of the rectory was renovated in January 2009.
