Very well preserved monastery complex, very beautiful place

Wonderful route to ride, asphalt great, undulating with decent small nasty climbs

Coming from Weiße Krug, first good asphalt, then (well) paved after the bridge.

Coming from Wipersdorf, two-lane, well-laid concrete slabs, then a concrete slab road, which is drivable but not comfortable to ride on with a RR, along a small industrial area that has seen better days.

Dabel was first mentioned in 1272. The center of the village is the church, dating from the early 15th century, a flat-roofed fieldstone hall with a tower of equal width. The parish offers a wide range of services open to everyone: a crèche, a daycare center, and an after-school care center. Christian education and confirmation classes, Scouts for children and young people, a children's choir, a brass band, a senior citizens' choir, a girls' band, carol singers, a tower musician, senior citizens' afternoons, and, above all, church services on Sundays and holidays, as well as concerts and exhibitions.
