이 호수는 매우 가파른 경사면을 가진 빙퇴석 지역에 있으며, 마지막 빙하기 동안 얼음이 후퇴한 후 영구적으로 물로 채워진 이전의 융빙수 도랑에서 형성되었습니다. 한쪽은 휴양지로 이용되고 다른 한쪽은 셰어링 가든을 통과합니다.

The Petermännchen ferry is a small, charming passenger ferry that crosses Schwerin's Pfaffenteich lake and is one of the city's most popular attractions. It's named after the legendary castle ghost Petermännchen, a well-known figure from Schwerin's folklore. The ferry connects the shores of the Pfaffenteich, offering locals and visitors alike a comfortable way to cross the lake while enjoying the beautiful views of the historic old town and the cathedral. The trip takes only a few minutes, but it's a special experience – especially in summer when life around the Pfaffenteich is bustling. The small electric ferry runs regularly between stops and is environmentally friendly, making it a modern yet traditional mode of transport. The Petermännchen ferry is therefore not only a convenient way to cross the Pfaffenteich, but also a piece of Schwerin's character – tranquil, charming, and deeply rooted in the city's history and culture.

Start in the southeastern district of Neumühle and enjoy the peaceful lakeside walk, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The shoreline offers varied, mostly wooded and sometimes steep sections, especially on the northern shore in the Friedrichsthal Forest.

The shore is inaccessible here. There are many places with beautiful views of the lake. This one is not one of them.

The Perlin village church is a remarkable example of North German church architecture. Built in the mid-13th century, the church is a towerless fieldstone church with a characteristic dome-shaped vault in the choir area.

The view from here is very good, not only of the Ziegelinnensee, but also of the Ziegelsee to the north. From the south, you can get directly to the water under the bridge.

The Pokrent church was opened for our hiking group. 😊 It is the oldest building in the church village. The start of construction of the church was dated to 1391 during a roof restoration (2007-2011).

The brick building was constructed in the Baroque style between 1709 and 1711 based on designs by Jakob Reutz. It is one of the few Baroque churches in northern Germany, but the interior dates from 1850. The crypt of the Grand Dukes is located under the altar.
