"Beach in the seaside resort of Heringsdorf" – one of what feels like a hundred beach highlights. Spectacular? Well, sand, water, sun… just like any other beach. Apparently, it's not about how precise or unique a highlight is, but how you can become a pioneer with lots of likes.

In 1990, Ms. Gabriele Bartels forced the HO to vacate the "Asgard". In these almost 34 years, the HO had managed to cause extreme damage to the building structure. When the "Asgard" reopened for the 1991 season, it shone in its former glory after almost a year of construction. Since 1997, the name "Café Asgard" has been a registered and thus protected trademark. We found the stay here very nice, cozy, very good and the service is on the ball. Café Asgard The oldest café on the island of Usedom The "Asgard" house was built in 1898. The Winterstein family knew how to expand the house in an exemplary manner without the "Asgard" losing its romanticism. On the contrary, it became more and more beautiful, and its reputation extends far beyond the borders of our seaside resorts. Heinz G. Konsalik wrote about the oldest café on the island of Usedom in his novel "Summer Love". Unfortunately, there were not only good times for Café Asgard. In 1956, Mrs. Else König, née Winterstein, had to hand over the café to the GDR's trade organization (HO) by compulsory rental. Unfortunately, Mrs. Else König was not able to live to see the lifting of this compulsory rental. She died in 1987.
