A "new" footbridge was inaugurated here in April 2024. The nature trail "Beerster Wischen - Experience Nature for People with and Without Disabilities" has reopened. The Cuxhaven District Nature Conservation Foundation built a 300-meter-long boardwalk as barrier-free access to the partially newly created extensive wet meadows and ponds. With the help of a water scoop and an Archimedes' screw, water can be transported and life in and around the water can be experienced with all the senses. The 150-meter-long walkway is barrier-free and leads to several information stations. The Archimedes' screw and the water scoop allow water to be pumped upwards. The Beerster Wischen are one of the few barrier-free nature experiences in the region. There used to be a 300-meter-long circular boardwalk. After renovation, the walkway ends with a platform.

The comfortably equipped houseboats are firmly anchored on the Bederkesa-Geeste canal. It is a special experience to spend the night there.
