The sand dune is the ideal playground for children.

The artificial sand dune at Dankernsee near Haren in the Emsland region is quite high. It was created as part of the development of the bathing and leisure area. The sand is fine and light-colored, and the sloping surface offers an unobstructed view across the lake.

Lake Dankern lies west of Haren (Ems) in the Emsland district and is an artificially created bathing lake of approximately 30 hectares. It was formed in the 1970s by the extraction of gravel from a former sand pit and is now part of the Schloss Dankern holiday resort. The lake features shallow shorelines, a sandy beach, and good water quality, making it a popular destination for swimmers, sailors, and surfers. Surrounded by forests and dunes, it is also an excellent area for hiking.

Here, a little way off the path and away from the lake, is the cemetery of the Baron Landsberg Velen family. Currently, there are six graves here.

It was certainly interesting to watch. I think the prices for this pleasure are reasonable.

Beautiful recreational water. Here the route planner sends private property guarded. Cycle back sand path in left for bakery also left of you. Drive out path left on paved and the route picks it up again.

It's great for cycling around Haren. Good paths and there's always a lot to see. Be it by the water or in town.
