The approximately 12 km long stream flows through the municipalities of Wiefelstede and Bad Zwischenahn. It rises in Wemkendorf and flows along the Olekamp stream in Wiefelstede, crosses Wemkendorfer Weg and the main road in Wiefelstede, and then continues between Gristeder Straße and Dingsfelder Weg towards Aschhausen and further into the Zwischenahner Meer (Merge of Lakes). The imposing country house is said to have been built in 1913 by the engineer Georg Klingenberg, together with his father, Privy Councilor Ludwig Klingenberg. The property encompasses approximately 52,200 square meters. The estate served as a meeting place for the entire Klingenberg family, who at that time owned extensive land on the western shore of Lake Zwischahn. After Georg Klingenberg's death in 1925, his widowed wife initially continued to live in the building, but was forced to hand it over to the Wehrmacht during World War II. During World War II, it served, among other things, as an officers' mess for the adjacent air base to the north, and later as an officers' mess for the medical personnel of the adjacent Bundeswehr hospital. Rostrup jetty There is a footbridge along the sea circular path. The jetty offers a beautiful view over the sea. From here you can experience wonderful sunsets. The DLRG also starts its missions from here.
