An inconspicuous stream that flows into the Fürwigge reservoir and gives it its name.

Great location for the forest sofa: above the Fürwigge with a view over the reservoir basin

Here stands an information panel from the Oben an der Volme regional agency about the region's flora and fauna. It provides information about the project to reintroduce freshwater crayfish to the local streams, rivers, and reservoirs. Next to it, you can relax on a woodland sofa.

The Hülsebach stream is primarily of local, ecological, and hydrological importance. It drains a small, wooded area near the villages of Buschhöh and Neuemühle and feeds its water into the local river system, which ultimately flows into the Fürwigge and Verse reservoirs.

Due to drought and bark beetle infestation, a wide panorama of the Sauerland region has now opened up. From this vantage point, one can see the Ebbe valley towards Herscheid and as far as Hemer on the horizon.

Unfortunately, today (October 2025), the cross stands on a cleared area instead of in the forest. The spruce trees were removed there as well. The positive side: now you have an incredible view all the way to the Siegerland region.
