If you're not afraid of the approximately 180-meter elevation gain to the Queich source, you can also start a fantastic 110-km tour here: Follow the Queich Cycle Path to the source near Hauenstein, continue on a beautiful forest path to Hinterweidenthal, and then take the German-French Pamina Lautertal Cycle Path along the Wieslauter to Wissembourg. From here, take the train (with a change of trains) back to Germersheim. I've included a "starting photo" for the Queich Cycle Path.
