Beautiful trail with an iconic name. Possible with a road bike, but better with a gravel bike or mountain bike.

Parallel to the developed supply road, a hidden forest singletrack trail runs along the shore of Lake Flemhude. The rooty and winding trail is easily accessible even in summer. It has several dog bathing areas and ends at the bathing area where the lake meets the Kiel Canal. An absolutely worthwhile section.

The Schönbek Moor (also known as the Great Moor) forms the border between Loop (Holstein) and Schönbek. The raised bog was previously used, as was common practice, for peat mining. The area was not a municipality until 1888 and was incorporated into Dätgen, Loop and Schönbek in the same year. The Höllenau and the Olendieksau rivers, which flow into the Brahmsee, have their source in the Schönbek Moor. The Brahmsee is a typical flatland or lowland lake in the center of Schleswig-Holstein. It is located about 20 km southwest of the state capital Kiel in the Westensee Nature Park, is about 100 hectares in size and up to 10.4 m deep.

The Emkendorf estate is located in Schleswig-Holstein in the municipality of Emkendorf in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde. It is a strictly symmetrical farm complex. In addition to the manor house, several farm buildings and other outbuildings have been preserved. The Hasensee, which used to be connected to the Westensee, is located in the extensive English-style landscape park. A 250-year-old avenue of linden and chestnut trees borders the estate grounds to the south. It is part of the old highway from Kiel to Rendsburg and has been protected as a natural monument since 1936.
