St. Michael's Church in Eutin (Schleswig-Holstein) was built in the Romanesque style in the 12th century. From 1309 onward, it served as the seat of the Eutin Collegiate Chapter. Around the same time, it received a Gothic choir.

Swimming area on the Großer Plöner See (Great Plön Lake) with a sandy beach, playground, and sunbathing lawn. The long, sandy beach is the ideal swimming spot for families. A sunbathing lawn, benches, a hammock, a slide, mini-golf, and a small playground invite you to linger. The water is gently sloping and marked with a non-swimmer's boundary. Shady spots and a jetty into the water are available, as are changing facilities and restrooms.

Sierhagen Estate is one of twelve noble estates in East Holstein that share a long, rich history: small, moated knight's castles – called mottes – transformed in the early modern period into estates where noble landowners could dispose of their serfs as they saw fit. Some estates grew large and influential. With the end of the Weimar Republic, the power of these magnificent estates collapsed. Over the centuries, the Syraa fortress became the large Sierhagen Estate, with a large manor house in the neoclassical style. The estate is still surrounded by a moat. Over the centuries, it passed through several noble hands; today it belongs to the Count and Countess of Scheel-Plessen. The estate includes 1,500 hectares of land and forest, making it one of the estates still economically successful today. The estate can be visited at any time, and you can take a stylish break at the excellent Café Palmgarten, provided it is open. The linden avenue at Eutin Castle has 55 pairs of trees stretching 300 meters and was planted in 1788. Since linden trees only live for a maximum of 1,000 years, these 55 pairs are almost a third of their lifespan behind them. Many tours can still be arranged. The linden avenue is said to have replaced a hedge in the Baroque gardens. This occurred at a time when the prestigious Baroque gardens were being replaced by spacious English gardens. With this change, the heavily trimmed hedges were replaced by naturally growing trees. Landscape design with greater freedom for natural growth. Naturally, the landscape remains a "designed" one, with measured freedom, and no "excessive" wild growth.
