Østre Søbad at Almindsø near Silkeborg is one of Denmark's cleanest lakes. Here are two round, impressive bathing jetties right next to each other with a children's pool and facilities such as changing rooms, lovely benches, toilets and a sauna.

I haven't seen anything like that in Germany. Bathing lake area with changing rooms, showers, sauna and a jetty in the lake to dive into. And everything in first-class quality.

Good bike path next to the road. Since the path is a bit narrow, I prefer to use the parallel road with little traffic.

Kammerslusen in Silkeborg is a lock that forms a passage where the Gudenå is dammed at the former Silkeborg paper mill. The new lock was inaugurated on August 1, 1920. The lock is still in use today, but mainly by canoes and smaller motorboats.
