These mini-basins are part of the new Fuglsang Allé residential development. These inlets form the "Havnefronten" (Harbor Front), an artificial shoreline spanning approximately 1,600 meters. They consist of boat slips and ramps designed to provide residents with direct, non-motorized access to the lake for activities like kayaking and fishing, supporting the area's focus on an active, nature-oriented community.

Fuglsang Sø is a large, man-made lake of 28 hectares completed in 2005 as a result of a motorway construction project. It is known for its high water quality, often awarded the Blue Flag, as it is mainly fed by clean groundwater with minimal inflow or outflow. The lake is a popular recreational destination, featuring two bathing beaches on the east side and a 3-kilometer path circling the perimeter, making it ideal for swimming, walking, fishing, and various water sports like kayaking and triathlons.

Definitely worth a visit

The lamppost at Herning Station towers over the viewer at 32 meters. It is an exact replica of the other lampposts, only on a larger scale, and is a work created by the artist group A-Kassen. The lamppost manages to blend into its surroundings and at the same time take on character. The purpose of the art installation is to amaze, captivate and encourage conversation.
