Flax has been the most important component of textiles since ancient times. In flax-breaking huts, the fibers were dried, later broken, and then processed into a variety of items of daily use or clothing. The flax-breaking hut has no historical connection to the oppidum, but the Celts already cultivated flax and probably had at least similar processing sites.
