From this spot on Elys Ford Road, you get great views on all sides over the Hunting Run Reservoir on the southern end of the Hunting Run Reservoir Park in Fredericksburg. This is a very scenic bit of riding and a great spot to pause, or at least slow down a little, and soak in the views.

Formed by the North Anna Dan and covering 13,000 acres, Lake Anna is one of the largest freshwater reservoirs in Virginia. Lake Anna is a popular destination due to its natural beauty, Lake Anna State Park and a host of year round outdoor activities.

This spot commemorates four major battles that took place in the area during the Civil War in Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Spotsylvania and the Wilderness. More than 15,000 were killed here.
