From this spot on Elys Ford Road, you get great views on all sides over the Hunting Run Reservoir on the southern end of the Hunting Run Reservoir Park in Fredericksburg. This is a very scenic bit of riding and a great spot to pause, or at least slow down a little, and soak in the views.

This spot commemorates four major battles that took place in the area during the Civil War in Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Spotsylvania and the Wilderness. More than 15,000 were killed here. At 13,000 acres (5,260 ha), Lake Anna is one of the largest freshwater reservoirs in Virginia, which means there is plenty of shoreline to discover too! The lake is a great place for hiking, boating and relaxing. You'll also find places to eat or grab a drink.
